It just seems so prevalent. We just have to keep praying and hope scientists and doctors will do their jobs.
My FH has 4 immediate relatives with cancer.
My aunt also may have it. The doctor thinks she does, but she will not go for the conclusive tests.
Anyone else?

my maternal grandfather has had several spots of skin cancer (not sure what kind) removed from his head (he is bald) and my maternal grandmother had a 1cm tumor of small-cell lung cancer 1 1/2 years ago, they removed the middle lobe of her right lung and she is fine (did not need chemo or radiation).
that is the only history i am aware of, but since i smoked for 9 years i am concerned for my own risk!

Cancer runs rampant on DH's mother's side of the family. He lost his mother to ovarian cancer, his grandmother and both his aunts (his mother's sisters) all are breast cancer survivors. It goes beyond that; I think his grandmother said that there were 15 of them total on her side that had some form of cancer.

On my Fathers side: My grandmother had breast cancer, which resulted in a mastectomy. Her Dr. didnt remove enough lymphnodes, so her cancer returned. She had it in her lungs and had a big tumor in her head. She passed away on 2/24/85
On my Mothers side: My Aunt (Mom's sister) had breast cancer in her left breast at age 29, she had a mastecomy and reconstructive surgery. At her 10 year mark, she discovered her right breast had cancer. She did a total mastecomy. She beat cancer twice, and is now a 17 year survivor
My Mom's half sister found a lump in her breast, turned out to be cancer, opted for a lumpectomy. She was cancer free for 5 years, only to find out she had lung cancer 2 years ago. She took radical chemo and radiation, and is now cancer free, she too is a cancer survivor.
