This is going to be a great board!
I lost my cousin to melanoma 7 years ago and I had so many questions and I wish a board like this had existed. She is the reason I got involved in fundraising.
From doing different fundraisers (espically St. Baldricks [raise money for Childhood cancer research]), it has opened my eyes to how much I love to help in anyway I can. Whether it is raising money from riding a bike or walking to shaving my head, I love the feeling of knowing I helped someone who has no control over thier illness.
I met so many children last year at the St. Baldricks in event in Northport and it made me realize how many local kids in our communities are sick
. My heart truely goes out to the families of not only the kids that are sick, but adults too, because everyone goes through it together.
This year as I registered for St. Baldricks, it broke my heart to hear we had another little angel from East Northport, and it just made me want to get more involved.
If anyone has any Fundraisers for any cause, please post them. It can never hurt to spread the word, and every dollar counts!
I wish everyone and their families a year of good health!
