Hyperemisis Gravadarum
It's a pregnancy disease and it's awful There are a few of us on here that have HG.
The research on hyperemesis gravidarum (or HG) is limited compared to some diseases; however, there is some information we do know.
Causes of HG
Unfortunately, there are no known causes of HG, only theories. It is likely that HG is caused by a number of interrelated factors that vary by woman and by pregnancy. Treatment thus differs because women will respond differently to medications and other interventions. What is known, however, is that it is not all in a woman's head. She cannot control being sick and is not causing her illness. Sadly, some health professionals are not aware of the research proving physiological changes are responsible. It is truly a disorder of pregnancy that requires serious attention to avoid a worsening of symptoms and complications.
Possible Complications
When HG is treated early and effectively, she may still be somewhat miserable, but both mother and baby will typically not suffer any serious complications. She will likely experience extreme fatigue, depression, anxiety, and stomach or throat pain. Other complications become possible if her symptoms are severe or prolonged. Adequate care and social support decrease the risk of more debilitating complications.
Risks & Outcomes
Most mothers with HG have normal babies and recover within months of delivery. However, those who are refused care, becoming malnourished and chronically dehydrated, are at greater risk for problems with either mom or baby.
Research shows that women who lose more than 10% of their body weight and/or who are unable to gain weight for two or more consecutive trimesters are most likely to have complications. Although medications present a risk, dehydration and starvation also can harm the baby. Early intervention is the best strategy to avoid complications for both mother and baby.
Same for me, both p/g's

Parvo. All the drs I went to believed I had Hodgkins disease, but every test I took came out negative. Blood work came out positive for Parvo.
Anxiety-Panic attacks(before I knew I had parvo).
Primary Bile Cirrohis(from the freaking Parvo). Slight case of RA(you guessed it from the Parvo).
For those who are wondering what Parvo is .. just think adult fifth disease.
And to think all of this happened when I was bit by a semi feral cat in the shelter I used to volunteer in.

Heart murmur Flat Feet Allergies The last gynecologist that I went to mentioned to me very offhandedly that it might have PCOS - I need to find an OB-GYN that I actually like to properly diagnose me.

Hyperemisis Gravadarum-Me too Thank god for this site because it helped me all through my pregnancy.
I have a fractured tailbone from DS' birth.
I have had two surgeries for cysts and had another one on my va-jay jay while I was pregnant.
And a hemangeonia on my left ankle which I *REALLY* need to have removed, but Ijust don't have the time

heart murmur dwayne's syndrome (nerve disorder of the eye) astigmatism poor eyesight exema flat feet pronation scoliosis trapezoid vertebrae high BP obesity I'm probably still anemic but I haven't had a chance to have blood work lately. I think that's it. I haven't started TTC yet so it wouldn't be surprising if that was a struggle for me too.

Nothing really serious but a lot
fibromyalgia - not in quotes. It is a real and debilitating disease several herniated discs in lumbar and cervical spine. disc space narrowing, congenital disc fusion. WOO As a result of the above -sciatica broken ankle (keep spraining it) chronic sinusitis asthma many allergies hypoglycemia eczema ADD
long time ago/don't bother me as much any more: chronic bronchitis chronic migraines anxiety disorder depression epstein barr
False diagnoses (either I disgaree, or the doctors can't decide, or they said I had it and then didn't): lyme disease metabolic syndrome/syndrome x hypothyroidism
Oh and a few months ago my doctor was telling the PA what to do for me and he says "And you have PCOS, right?" I was like NO! And then he says "I thought it was you..must be someone else"
