Charting Thread

How about a formal Charting Info Guide for newcomers?

State facts you know about charting & helpful abbreviations.

Good idea!
Perhaps we can post links to our charts as well?

CP= Cervical Position

CF= Cervical Fluid

BBT= Basel Body Temp

O= Ovulate

also CM - cervical mucus (which is same as CF -cervical fluid)

My computer is acting up at home and I havent updated my chart in a few days online even though I am still charting.

There's also:

2WW = 2 Week Wait (after you O, until ur next AF)
AF = Aunt Flo (menstrual perios)
BD = Baby Dance and/or Baby Dust
CD = Cycle Day
BFN = Big Fat Negative
BFP = Big Fat Positive
HCG = Human Chorionic Gonadotrophin (Hormone used to detect pregnancy)
HPT = Home Pregnancy Test
LP = Luteal Phase (Days after Ovulation)
PG = Pregnant/Pregnancy

Fact: Menstruation, cervical fluid, and waking temperature are the primary clues to determining fertility. Cervix position and texture is used as a means of corroborating the temperature and cervical fluid signs.

Lissette - great idea for a thread!! I know how lost I was with the the info/lingo when I first started lurking on TTC

I didn't chart this month (now I wished I had, it might explain why I cannot figure out if I ovulated or not )

So whenever AF decides to show up (and yes, I'm SURE she will show - I have NO hope of a BFP this cycle) I'm going to chart religiously and will share with you so you can help me interpret (and/or just to share my crazy obsession with y'all )

I love this idea!! Then we can share what we think of each other's charts...may be of some help to each other.

OK gonna try to post a pic of my chart...as of today...still waiting to O (should have O'd couple of days ago but so far nothing...)

Skipped a few days of temping because I either slept WAY later and was pointless to temp or I was drinking thenight before and pointless to temp since it makes my temps go through the roof.

Edited post to include all my neg. OPKs....grrr

Here is mine which I can't figure out cuz I shouldn't have o'd this month (not taking Clomid, normally don't O on my own) and it shows that I did. Now my temps are all over the place and I think it's going to end up changing to no O.

I'm sorry you're having a hard time with your chart. I'm having a hard time seeing it bc its a little small...but I see that your temps are all over. The only one that looks really out of wack to me is the lowest one. If you take that out your chart doesnt look too bad.

I'm going to repost mine again today - my BBT is up but still no O. This is the first time (as far as I know and have been charting/using OPKs) that I have not O'd.

Kathy...You may have O'd on day 18...It's always hard to tell right away. I am pulling for you!! Pray for O

Oh I got my surge on the OPKs today so I'll be Oing in the next day or two. I'm late for O'ing thought I missed it or it wasnt coming...but here we go!

Gerty - How is your chart doing?

My temp dropped alot ...who knows what's going on...I probably didn't actually O....I never have without help.

I'm sorry you're having trouble figuring out when you O'd - or if you O'd. Did you use OPKs at all?

My chart - WTH are my temps doing??? ugh. They should drop if Im Oing...
