I am trying to make a baby blanket for my friends who just had a baby Sunday & then another friend just told me she is expecting in August ( we hadn't spoken in a while)

How did you make it? Did you have a pattern?

My grandmother taught me a long time ago and I just started doing it again. I didn't follow any books because I find 'watching' someone do it and having them show me is much easier.
