Does anyone's FI/DH not want pets??

beautyq115	My family has had dogs all my life..at one point growing up we had 2 wonderful dogs. My FI is not to fond of dogs and has always said that we will never have one in the house...at first I was like yeah thats fine...but now I think I will miss not having one in the house Anyone else in this situation??? Disneygirl	DH had 2 cats when I first moved in w/him. I was not the biggest fan of cats and I am allergic to them. However because of love I continue to tolerate them. I made it clear to DH though that after this no more cats!!!! I want a puppy next which DH isn't a big fan of but I think its only fair that it'll be his turn to tolerate. Posted 5/20/05 3:29 AM
Cocoa	no. thankfully. we both grew up with dogs, so we both feel that we could never have a home without one. and the thing that really hooked me to him was his devotion and caring for his dog. i figured a man who was so affectionate and dedicated to his dog would be a wonderful father. was he bitten by one or did he once have a bad experience with a dog that has turned him off to them? baghag	Fh didn't want pets at first. It took him a long time to warm up to animals of any kind. But we have two cats, and they are now the love of his life. Besides me, of course! Posted 5/20/05 10:38 AM
karacg	DH never had pets growing up, his ex had cats and he was allergic but tolerated them. THEN...he met Ebony. He fell in love with him and KNEW he was part of my package. Hey, no kids at 35 when we met so a dog was very easy to accept!! Thank God they love each other! Posted 5/20/05 10:44 AM
bluegrl24NY	The only pet Craig refused to get was a Pug. I always wanted a Pug, but DH said NO WAY since he wanted a big dog... He loves pets though - he grew up in a house that at one time had two cats, two dogs, a bird, two gerbils and a rabbit!!
