Well when I was in the 9th grade My best friend moved to vegas so I had been going for years before I turned 21 So its not about gambling for me. When I was 16 there was still so much for me to do besides gamble. Just looking at all the hotels and doing all the sights could take up a whole week! Its a great place to visit even once. this is EXACTLY how I've always thought of Vegas too! I really want to go one of these days myself. My mom went with my sis and our cousin a few years ago, and saw the Cirque du Soleil show O at the Bellagio, saw a "burlesque" show (they swore it was very tastefully done!) and had the time of thier lives!!! I love Cirque du Solieil and I would love to see the shows there in Vegas, as well as seeing all the touristy sights and the aforementioned gambling/drinking! Vegas just has so much allure and history, I would love to go one of these days!

I went to Vegas and didn't love it. I loved visiting Red Rock Canyon, and enjoyed maybe one night of the 'scene' but then I was over it. Ironically enough, DH is in a wedding there this July, so we'll be returning. We'll only be staying there for the rehearsal dinner & wedding, and then we're having our vacation in CA. Don't get me wrong -- it's cool to see all of the hotels and everything, but gambling gets old really quickly, and if you're not into partying all night with 300 wedding parties, it might get old quickly. I agree with whoever said it's like Disney for adults though -- that part is true. Posted 5/21/05 8:40 AM |

I am going to be honest...Vegas was nice, but not for me. We went to Mandalay Bay for our 1 year anniversary and the hotel was awesome. I loved it. I loved visiting all the fancy hotels like Bellagio etc... but that was the only fun for me. We are not big drinkers, we dont really gamble and the food is better at home. I think I was there for too many days. I dont feel a need to return soon. Posted 5/21/05 8:48 AM |

I just came back from Vegas last week, and to be honest, I wasn't that impressed either. We had to go for DH's business, so we made an extended stay out of it. Yes, the hotels are gorgeous and it's fun to look at everything. The food is YUMMY, and we saw a Cirque De Soleil show which was AMAZING. But, we're not party-goers in the least bit (especially considering I'm pregnant), and we're SO NOT gamblers, so it wasn't ideal. It got old after a few days, actually... the only thing we REALLY enjoyed was renting a convertible and driving out to Hoover Dam and Red Rock Canyon Posted 5/23/05 1:50 PM |
