Need help with a crochet baby blanket!

O.k. so I came up with the brilliant idea of making a square patch baby blanket...

Well I'm almost done with all the tiny little squares, but....
1. I do not know how to attach them together and make them look nice...and
2. How to make a trim! (I would LOVE to do a ruffle on it).

Any idea's?

You can get a yarn needle and "sew" they together with yarn. Or I made a square patch afghan once and just connected them with a single crochet, but it ended up that there was like a bump or ridge where they ewre connected, which was actually quite nice but you need to make sure you do it so it always ends up on the same side.

Right- you can attach them either way. As far as the ruffle, if you can't make it up yourself, you could find a pettern from a different blanket and use that. After you attach all the squares just crochet around the edge.

Thanks ladies!

I did start to sew them all together...but I noticed with the top and bottom part of the square (ch stitches) the were sown together nicely...of the 2 sides...the came out all funky...but I got it to look a little decent! LOL

I will take a pic and post when I am done. I still have a few more squares to got....
