DH just shared...

that he wants to know the sex! I don't. I guess we have 14 more weeks to debate ( I am only in my 6th week) How does everyone else feel. It seems there have been a lot of posts where couples have found out the sex.

DH and I wanted to know the sex of our baby...but I read from someone's post that they found out in a very creative way...

They had the sonogram tech. write down the sex on a piece of paper and put it in an envelope. Then they went out to dinner or celebrated somehow and opened the envelope together. At least it was romantic and not in the doctors office...

I think that's cute!!

We didnt find out with either. It just added to the birth. IMO

We are not finding out! DH kind of wanted to, but I did not. It's hard not knowing, but I figure it's more of an incentive to push during labor!! Plus, I like the whole "It's a boy/girl!!" announcement.

We both want to know. But I can see how it is nice to be surprised, too!

I definitely wanted to wait to find out the sex before I m/c. I wanted to keep everyone, including myself in suspense. Not to mention that 9-month guessing game our friends & family went on ("it's a boy because u have no pimples"; "it's a girl because ur hair is stringy", etc). I love the element of surprise, and having everyone involved. The one thing that everyone always wants to know is the sex when it's born... and IMO, finding out doesn't give people much to look forward to because they'd already know.

Well, we already found out. We wouldn't have been able to stand the suspense and we wanted to be able to paint the nursery specifically for the sex of the baby.

We had found out as well. It's really a personal decision, though. We just couldn't stand the suspense

I will be finding out what they are on June 8th - I think it was surprise enough to find out it was twins - so I'd like to be a little prepared for them!

At first my DH didn't want to know, but now he's ok w/finding out.

I knew withouth a doubt that I wanted to find out. Way too much fun stuff to plan once you know what you are having and for me I feel like it will help me bond better (this is something I have been having a hard time with).

DH did not want to know but I won that battle. It really wasn't much of a battle I just said I am finding out, you don't have to . He's used to the idea now. 1 more week I can't wait

We found out - I didn't want to but my husband is the type who couldn't handle it. He freaks out if I tell him that I got him something at the food store LOL.

It was fun knowing b/c the nursery was done just for her. However, I can understand the flipside.

With this one we'll be finding out as well.

We found out.... I don't like surprises. I wanted to be able to plan better.

DH insists he "can't wait that long" to find out what we'll be having!

As much as I do want to know the sex of the baby and DH wants to find out (I don't)...we're going to wait and let this be a surprise...at least for our first.

We found out. I had to know what we were having in order to set up the baby's room and also it made registering so much easier. Plus i love calling her by her name eventhough she is not here yet.

Well...the pregnancy itself was enough of a surprise for these two control freaks, thank you very much. We couldn't wait to know the sex! Also I agree with Monkeybride... I think it has helped me to bond better and I needed help in that area too.
