HOW the hell can LI start the ELA today and the city tomorrow??

What is to stop teachers from talking about the test????

I think diff grades take different parts at different times...

My 8th graders dont take it till next week

The state only sets the week timeframe. It is up to individual districts to decide when within that week to administer the test.
3, 4, 5 are this week.
6, 7, 8 are next week.
The test is given on the honor system that at this point, teachers are not going to abuse their position that way.

NYS gives 4 - 5 days for districts to administer the test. Different schools administer it on different days.
