do you go by no news is good news? Meaning, principal and parents have been nice to you.

I'm sure if you weren't doing something up to par you would hear about it - in my experience no news was good news. But you should be observed, etc. which gives you feedback.

I'm more talking about parents. I have one of those classes that the parents have a lot of power. Many on PTA, educational committees, etc. My class is happy to see me in the morning and boo when we have to pack up...I'm doing something okay, right? Chat Icon

If you have those type of parents then I am assuming that you would know if they weren't happy with something you were doing - the parents in my district make it very known if they are not happy with something a teacher does. I'm sure you are doing great!Chat Icon

I totally agree! I work for one of those districts as well, where some of the parents feel you owe them the world. I would definitely know if they were not happy.
