teacher cert Question

I am currently certified 7-12

Does anyone know what I would need to do certification wise in to teach 6th??

I don't know for sure but I would imagine you need to take elementary ed classes...

I put an email out to NYSED, there is something called an extension for 5-9 (I have 7-12), so we'll see what they say....I searched all the programs on long island and couldnt find anything...
