My first crochet project

I just finished my first crochet project--a blanket for a friend's baby. The edges are uneven, b/c I sorta figured it out as I went.

I didn't have a pattern, it is all double crochet with multi colored (very soft) sport weight yarn. The border is single crochet with the same yarn in yellow.

Thanks everyone.

Shana it's really easy to learn the basics. You could totally learn before she is born!

I absolutely love it! The yarn was a great choice because it makes it look like it's a crazy pattern without needing to be!

My first crocheted blanket was for a friend's baby and was all crooked on the edges as well, but he loves it and is now 4 and still calls it his "wooby."

That is so cute! I am also working on my first crochet project. The pattern is a little difficult, but I think it is coming out pretty good.

Did you have a hard time switching the colors so much?

ETA: Never mind, I just read again and it said that it is multi colored yarn. Great Job, WOW.
