mrsmck	The Best of Times by Penny Vincenzi. The prologue depicts a major accident on a highway in England. When I have the "right" kind of 10th grade class, I teach it, and it's always their favorite book. (I've only taught it three or four times, though, in nine years.) I hope you're loving it.
