I loved the pilot's wife! Read it a long time ago but really liked it.

I am going to start "a thousand splendid suns" soon, maybe tonight but more likely tomorrow night.

I also intend to begin 19th Wife by David Ebershoff shortly for next month's bookclub meeting



This was a V E R Y S L O W read. I couldn't get through it in time for our meeting. I liked the general story but there's so much going on and unnecessary things thrown in that it makes it a hard read.

Our pick for next month: Such a Pretty Fat: One Narcissist's Quest To Discover if Her Life Makes Her Azz Look Big, Or Why Pie is Not The Answer by Jen Lancaster

Just finished the Thirteenth Tale (fantastic!) and moving on to The Alieniest.

For those of you have read The Alieniest, I heard from somone that the violence is described in such graphic detail that the images kind of stay with you, true in your opinion?
