I'm reading another P. Gregory book, The Virgin's Lover. I am oddly obsessed with Queen Elizabeth I Chat Icon


Ooh, how is Virgin's Lover? It's the only one I have left from the set.

I liked Boleyn Inheritance a lot though my favorite was Constant Princess (but only after reading The Other Boleyn Girl, even though the events take place first).

I'm only 100pgs into it and I'm enjoying it so far. She just started her reign and Dudley was just admitted back to court (b/c of her being made Queen). It's a shorter read than TOBG so I should finish it by the weekend.

I have The Queen's Fool on order at the library as well. After those 2 books I'll read The Constant Princess. I had read mixed reviews about that one so I was putting it off...glad to hear that you enjoyed it though!

Just finished Sushi for Beginners by Marion Keyes. Very good. Now reading, For One More Day by Mitch Albom..good so far.

I am finally reading Lolita. I'm about halfway through, but what stinks is I'm reading the annotated version and I can't keep myself away from the endnotes and they DO illuminate the story, but they also gave a lot away, so I sort of want to give up ebcause I know what's going to happen

Finished The Virgin's Lover this weekend. I liked it - it was well written - but for some reason I was expecting a different ending. Having read about Elizabeth & Dudley I thought they "ended" when he became involved with Lettitia Knollys (her cousin's daughter)......in any case, it was a good read.

I'm starting on The Queen's Fool today.

I just finished this also. It was really good but it took me a while to read it. I just started Little Children by Tom Perrotta(sp?)
