It's ok. I am trying to stay with it because I feel like I "should" read it and it is interesting. Most of the focus is on Washington, but lots of other people are mentioned and it's tough keeping track of all of them! I find that I'm mostly coming away with interesting anecdotes, as opposed to a "big" picture.

In a nutshell, I'm having trouble staying focused.

ETA- 3 or 4 other people who read it thought it was really excellent.

I am in the middle of Dogtown by Anita Diamant (she wrote the Red Tent)... so far its interesting... its a story of a town that was supposed to exist in the 1800's on Cape Ann in Massachusetts.

Completely different from the red tent.

I'm starting this book this week. I was hoping for another Red Tent.Chat Icon

I am still working through 1776- I am determined to finish it! But I also started The Sunday Philosophy Club by Alexander McCall Smith for when I need a fiction break.
