High maintenance gal’s (and some guys) get a bad rap. In fact, rather than being applauded for their appealing appearance, they get criticized for their vehement vanity. But, it seems that the tables are slowly turning. And, though many are still shouting at so-called Prima donnas and Prima Dons, what they’re now screaming is “viva la vanity!!!”

You see taking care of yourself is actually a good thing, as long as you know how to keep it in balance and in check. Still, most of us value attractiveness, and more often than not, that goes along with appearance, and taking proper care of one’s person.

Experts go as far as attesting that just the right dose of vanity is essential, and helps us get the attention, mate, job and respect we want. After all, the only thing people have to initially judge us by IS our appearance, and even if it goes against the grain of our intrinsic nature, what they see, is what they perceive. Hence, the importance of always or almost always putting your best foot forward. And, while your at it, make sure it is cloaked in one of your best pair of shoes.

Take this idea one step further (pun fully intended) and vanity translates into those who not only care about making a fashionable appearance, but how well they take care of themselves hygienically, and how they speak, act, eat, and conduct themselves, each giving us the added confidence and acceptance we need. In fact, the package, say experts can translate into a happier, healthier, more fulfilling life.
