“Till Death Do Us Part”. At least that’s the intention when it comes to “happily ever after”. Still, with busy lives, hectic lifestyles, and never-ending day full of scheduled appointments and obligations, only to retire to a boudoir where the only excitement is what’s on the TV, marriage may seem pretty “dull” and “boring”, and more than our eyes may begin to wander. And, when infatuation turns into an all out affair, “we’ve” got a problem.

Here are a few hints that may hint that your relationship is in real “danger”.

· You are thinking about the person you’re attracted to more and more

· You are finding ways to be around your “crush” and making excuses to call, stop by, work late, etc.

· You tend to compare your spouse to the object of your affections.

· You find yourself talking about your “crush” even to your spouse, even in a matter-of-fact manner.

And, while these are clearly signs for “concern”, they are not necessarily reasons to “panic”. In fact, experts suggest that your attraction is likely to fade over time. But, they suggest minimizing interaction with the other individual as so not to add fuel to the fire.

If however you find that avoiding contact is “impossible”, especially due to work circumstances, you may want to find some outside help, such as a friend you can confide in and who will help you do the right thing. Some may even want to speak to their spouse about the situation and ask for their help.

Even if you don’t confront or consult your mate on your crush, it’s a good idea to talk openly about your relationship and how you are feeling, as well as what you can do to grow closer. It’s also a good idea to focus on the attractive and admirable qualities of your partner and what attracted you in the first place. In fact, it’s good to talk about your spouse out loud, including to others, just like you would mention your crush.
