One Hot Mama: Helping Moms Find Their Vixen Selves Again

Ask almost any mother and will get the same answer: once you have crossed over the threshold of motherhood it is hard to find your way back to the beautiful, sexy woman you once were. That beautiful, sexy woman will always be there, of course, but sometimes when in mommy mode that woman is hard to find inside.

The trick to a mother's ultimate happiness is not to just be an amazing mom, but to also find a way to bring back the woman inside of her. When a woman feels fantastic within her skin not only is she a great mother, but she's a healthier and happier self and partner. After all, a happy mother makes for a happy family! Here are a couple steps that may help mommies feel like their old, vixen selves again!

To start off, make sure to indulge the new you. Buy a couple new outfits (budget permitting, of course) that enhance and compliment your current mommy figure. Many times new mommies will find that their post baby body is just shaped differently than their pre-baby self, even after taking off any baby weight. Love your body for its shape and embrace your figure!

Make sure to take the time to be good to yourself! Let your husband take the baby for a half hour so that you can soak in a new hot bath, or take a leisurely shower. Take the time to get a massage or mani/pedi. Spend a little extra in the "undies" department: buy the provocative underwear and nighty that will help you look and feel sexy.

Reclaim your body. Return to whatever physical activity makes you feel good, physically and emotionally. Believe it or not daddies are really good with babies too! Take an hour to yourself if you love to work out and sometime in the gym. Head to the local studio for a dance lesson or yoga class, or just run outside for a good walk or jog. You'll find that when you're moving your mind will be turn off (or at least down) and you'll be able to recap and recoup. You'll also feel good about the fact that you were able to just get yourself out and moving!

Lastly, revive your relationship and romance with your partner. Leave love letters where you know they will be found, text loving messages sporadically throughout the day, or send flirtatious emails to make you both smile. Remember how you became a mommy in the first place! That same love and affection is still there, it has just been buried under stress and sleep deprivation. Nurture your relationship and watch how the connection will not only rekindle, but grow. That love and flirtation is guaranteed to make you both feel a whole lot better and stronger as parents and lovers.
