Good skin, for both men and women, are often a priority, and glowing skin is especially essential during the winter holiday season as we prepare to put our best party face forward.

Achieve a natural holiday glow that’s simply delicious with olive oil. That’s right, this handy household item is ideal for rubbing on elbows, legs, feet, face, and other areas where you may experience dry skin. You can even consider rubbing it into your scalp (for dry, brittle locks), and/or adding it to your creams and moisterizers for added protection, especially against the harsh elements and UVB damage.

Extra virgin olive oil works best, but test on a small section of your skin first, since some sensitive skin types may have an allergic reaction. Pat some on your wrist and see what happens. If the answer is nothing, treat yourself to some delicious decadence with a Roman-bath by adding a quarter cup of olive oil and a few drops of lavender or peppermint oil to a warm bath and soak.
