Just the other day during my routine session with my PT (personal trainer), she informed me that as she quickly approaches the big 3-0 she’s taking better care of her skin….and her efforts to retaining her youth…or at least a youthful look.

Well, that’s one way to approach aging….the other is by watching what your eat…especially if you have a sweet tooth or can’t help yourself from having a second helping.

Recent studies of yeast cells suggest that these tiny microorganisms exhibited signs of premature aging due to exposure to too much glucose, the energy substance which most if not all of our calories eventually turn into.

Experts note that blood glucose levels naturally elevate after a meal….but when you eat “too much” they can skyrocket, having a negative effect on cells, stressing them out, and putting them at greater risk for damage. So, eating less overall or passing up decadent desserts may translate into the key to looking good and feeling good too.
