Studios for a 3 year old... though if you could go to epcot as well i would cause they have some cute things for the little ones and they have drinks around the world for mom and dad!!!

Well we personally love EPCOT more.
HS was fun for DD#1 this trip - but she was done with the park after about 3 hours. She didn't like the park last time. If your DC isn't huge on shows then it might not be the best one for you. DD loved the toy story mania ride, Muppets 4D movie, Honey I shrunk the kids playground, and playhouse disney show. She asked to leave after we did those things.
EPCOT was a much bigger hit. They had the finding nemo ride, Journey into your imagination, turtle talk with crush, Spaceship earth, most of the disney princesses for meet and greets (Mulan, Jasmine and Aladdin, Belle, Aurora, Snow White, as well as -Alice in wonderland, Mary Poppins, Marie (aristocats) etc). We spent several evenings in EPCOT and one or two mornings as well and DD always asked to go back.
They also have a nice Princess Storybook meal in Norway - where you get a photo of you and one of the princesses and 4-5 additional princesses rotate around the restaurant - They do breakfast, lunch and dinner.
It is kind of a very personal decision. I would go and look at what both parks offer and decide from there.

Epcot without a doubt
A lot of 3 yo cannot stand still for the Hollywood shows.
At Epcot, you have the Nemo ride, the aquarium, the rides, the time in the future technology and they take pics of you and show it on the big screen, the discovery area (like the LICM).
They even have the sprinkler section if they get too hot.
I would pick Epcot anytime over Hollywood Studio.
Kids: 7+ I would pick Hollywood Studio

I would say Epcot - Nemo, Figment, etc. Plus, there are "crafts" things at each country.
To be honest though - for a 3 yo, I'd go with Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom!

We just got back from a trip with my 4-year-old niece. She loved Hollywood Studios because she go to meet Handy Manny and the Little Einsteins. She loved seeing the Toy Story section, and has a weird obsession with Star Wars and Indiana Jones. So for her, I would say that HS was a better choice.
We didn't take her to Epcot so I can't say if she would have liked it better.

My DC are almost 3 and 2. We just came back from Disney and did all the parks. Hollywood studios had a few things for the little ones but not much. I would say Epcot was def. a better time. I found much more to do with the little ones at Epcot. Next yr. we will skip Hollywood studio.

I feel like we did more in Epcot then we did in Hollywood Studios.
DD loved the mickey mouse playhouse show and the little mermaid show. but aside from that and a few rides, we didn't really do much.
she did love the sci fi drive in. she sat for the whole meal and watched the movies.
there is more to see in Epcot, IMO. Even to just walk around the countries is fun.

That was our experience too. My dd is 2 1/2 and she enjoyed Epcot so much more.

They have Toystory Mania, Tons of shows from Little Mermaid, Beauty & the Beast and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
We did Epcot too! Not much for the little ones. More for the adults.
